The “biological clock” has been identified

As your resource for fertility treatment in Melbourne, Viera Fertility Center is monitoring progress on research into the origins and function of a woman’s so-called “biological clock.”

Some women, we know, can have successful pregnancies into their late forties and early fifties while other women have trouble conceiving nearer to age thirty. What causes this difference has been referred to as the “biological clock” governing each women’s fertility window.

A recent study at the University of Gothenburg has identified that “clock” as signaling pathways in the granulosa cells of the primary follicle. These pathways provide nourishment to mature eggs and allow them to remain stable. Without proper nourishment, the eggs are rendered unusable.

If you have concerns about your age, the length of time you’ve tried to become pregnant, or whether a fertility test in Melbourne may be right for you, contact the offices of Dr. Chamoun at the Viera Fertility Center today!
